We're an active  Conservative Party Association and our Member of Parliament is James Cartlidge MP, who in December 2019 received 33,276 votes, which equated to 62.2% of the vote in South Suffolk, a record majority of 22,903 increased from 17,749 in 2017.

We are delighted that both Elizabeth Malvisi and our late Nick Ridley have been nominated for national awards for their work in Babergh. 

Nick Ridley, has been posthumously nominated for a lifetime achievement award in recognition for his long service at Babergh District Council in the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU) and CCLA Councillor Awards.

Elizabeth Malvisi, Babergh’s current cabinet member for the environment has been nominated in the environment and sustainability pioneer category.
