Born in Ipswich and raised in Capel St Mary, Darius attended secondary school in East Bergholt and sixth form in Colchester. After university, he briefly lived in London before returning to the area, and he now calls Nayland home. In his spare time, he enjoys kayaking on the River Stour and tending his allotment.
With a varied career in the media, Darius currently works as a photographer and serves the Dedham Vale as a City of Colchester District Councillor. He led the campaign for Colchester to regain City status and isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves. His most important role is being a dad, and he is standing for election for Constable Country, committed to defending and protecting this magical part of the world.
Darius was elected to the post of Deputy Chair (Political) at the 2024 AGM, and Chair at the 2026 AGM.
