Tim Passmore was born and raised in Suffolk. He lives with wife Heather in Eye and has three sons and two grandsons.
He’s a popular former farmer known throughout Norfolk and Suffolk. Tim’s business ventures included pig-breeding consultancy across the UK, Europe, the Americas, and Asia, as well as agricultural innovation projects such as reintroducing hop cultivation in Suffolk. And he’s active in our local communities.
He served for 27 years as a scout leader, and is still a rugby referee in Norfolk. He’s Norfolk and Suffolk through-and-through. Tim’s led a local council. So he knows how to lead a large organisation. And in 2012, he was elected as Suffolk’s first Police and Crime Commissioner and has since been re-elected three times.
In this role, he gets things done. He's recruited more police officers, and now Suffolk has the third-lowest crime rate in England. Tim's also led projects such as the Youth Intervention Fund, which raised £250,000 to help over 1,000 youngsters in the area who had a difficult start in life.
That’s why the more people who get to know Tim, the more people are saying he’s the best person to be Norfolk and Suffolk’s first ever Mayor. Reform, Labour, and Lib Dem voters are putting party politics aside to support the best man for the job.
