Growing up on the Peninsula shoreline, Josie attended local primary and secondary schools before going on to study Politics at university. An avid sailor, she has competed in multiple world championships and crossed the North Sea ten times. More recently, she has shared that passion by teaching sailing, spending her summers on the River Orwell and at Alton Water.
Josie brings that same hard-working ethic to everything she does. She is committed to serving her community and strengthening the area she has always called home.
Since graduating from university, Josie has worked as a Caseworker for James Cartlidge, MP for South Suffolk. In this role, she has supported constituents on a wide range of issues, working closely with statutory bodies and private sector organisations across the county to resolve problems and achieve the best possible outcomes for those in South Suffolk.
She believes that if residents work hard for their families and neighbours, their local councillor should work just as hard in return: listening, acting, and delivering real results. Josie is standing to ensure Peninsula residents are genuinely heard, properly supported, and fairly represented, and to be a strong, visible voice for the community she is proud to call home.
