District & Sudbury Town Cllr.Jan Osborne

District Councillor - Sudbury North West Ward
Cabinet Member for Housing
Town Councillor - Sudbury

“I have been married for 49 years and have two daughters, one a teacher and the other a mental health nurse, and two grandchildren and have now lived in Sudbury for 20 years.

Five years ago I retired from being a Local Government Offficer after 23 years. I have been a Sudbury Town Councillor for 12 years, a District Councillor for 4 years, and been Deputy Leader at Babergh and the Cabinet Member for Housing.

As well as being a Councillor, I chair Street Watch, the Gainsborough Trail Group and I  am a member of the Woods Around Town Group.

I believe in and take great pride in Sudbury. It is truly a lovely place to live, work, play and visit, but it has many challenges and it is critical that your councillors are hard working, experienced and have an understanding of opportunities and threats to the town. I am very passionate about my responsibilities and give 200% to achieve an outcome.

Most of all I care about our people and have determination and passion to continue working hard for you all. “ – Jan Osborne

Jan was elected as a Babergh District Councillor in May 2019 and is a Cabinet Member for Housing.
