"I have represented the Waldingfield Ward at Babergh District Council since 2015. I was honoured to become the first Cabinet Member for Communities, a position I have held for two years. I also hold the position of Armed Forces Champion. I represent the District Council on a variety of committees including Health Scrutiny and Health and Well-being keeping an eye on our community health services. I have been instrumental in launching dementia friendly centres and clubs within both Hadleigh and Lavenham." - Margaret Maybury

Margaret was re-elected in May 2019 and has served on several committees including Scrutiny and Regulatory and Community Capacity Building and Engagement.   Coming from a farming background, Margaret is proud to represent the rural, beautiful Babergh district in the County of Suffolk.   With a natural aptitude for people, change and organisation, Margaret completes her life with part-time employment, a Christian faith, a husband, four children, three grandchildren and a demanding cat called PJ, Margaret finds solace in gardening, history and reading.

Honor, has lived in Great Cornard for 5 years and works as a Learning Support Assistant at Pot Kiln Primary School putting her at the centre of the community. In particular, she would like to improve facilities for young people in our community both through schools and local organisations.
