"For the last 12 years I have represented the East Ward in Sudbury as both your District Councillor and Town Councillor, which, as a result of a recent boundary change review, has been renamed the South East Ward.
My face will probably be known to Ward members as I undertake regular litter picks, take regular patrols as part of the Street Watch Group, collect for the RNLI, Poppy Appeal and Marie Curie, as well as attend fund-raising events. This enables me to keep in touch with and understand your concerns about local issues such as access to public transport, litter and fly tipping, antisocial behaviour and many more, and to represent them at the highest levels of the Council.
During the last 12 years I have served as Vice Chair of the Planning Committee and most recently Vice Chairman of the Council and a member of the Scrutiny Committee. I have also had the privilege of being your Sudbury Mayor twice.
If you choose me as your elected Ward member again on 2nd May 2019, I will continue to support my residents and the community that I represent.
In the time that I have served Sudbury, there have been some significant changes and challenges. I believe that I have listened to your concerns, and frequently represented them in discussions at meetings and at Full Council level in the Chamber. I do not for one moment claim a 100% success, but in partnership with our great voluntary organisations and the Town Council, we have achieved some successful outcomes to the benefit of Sudbury.
Finally, I should like to take this opportunity to give a big thankyou to everyone you who has assisted and supported me in the last twelve years. " - Adrian Osbourne
Adrian was re-elected in May 2019 and is Vice-Chairman of the Council.
