District Council Elections 2nd May 2019

15 Conservative Councillors were elected to Babergh District Council with Cllr., John Ward remaining Council Leader and Finance Portfolio.  The following were appointed to the Cabinet Cllr., Jan Osborne, Housing Portfolio; Cllr Michael Holt, Economy Portfolio; Cllr., Malvisi Environment Portfolio

SSCA Annual Dinner with the Rt Hon Philip Hammond

The Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP gave a very entertaining and informative speech.  Sprinkled with humour, the Chancellor answered numerous questions from members who at the end proclaimed the evening a great success.


Hadleigh Cheese and Wine

The Cheese & Wine event held last Thursday in Hadleigh Guildhall was a great success.   People came from all corners of the constituency including Clare and Long Melford.   The attendance was very good and with our MP's excellent speech the atmosphere was friendly, relaxed and enjoyable.     

Manningtree could get new bridge or tunnel to ease road and rail issues
